Beauty of diversity

Prejudices and attitudes affect our perception about particular subject or a person. Attitude and prejudice have quite similar meanings. Both are a kind of assumptions that are made without thorough knowledge of the matter. Attitudes are ways in which one acts or behaves towards the surrounding world. Therefore it is good to stop and examine your own prejudice thoughts before making generalized assumptions.

We are all different and equally valuable

We face every day different people and we are also ’different’ in someone else’s view. Diversity is usually defined as being different or not the same. It is clear that we can not be all the same. In fact, each of us is different and unique, and that is a source of wealth. It is important to accept that there a wide range people and all are equally valuable. Acceptance of diversity also increases the sense of community. Everyone should have a possibility to live their own lives, make their own choices and listen to the voice of their senses and hearts. Understanding others, though, does not mean that bullying should be accepted.
