What is your personal eco-activity?

In our vo­ca­tional school sys­tem at Perho Culi­nary, Tourism & Busi­ness Col­lege, there are work­ing, study­ing and eat­ing hun­dreds of peo­ple on daily ba­sis, so the en­vi­ron­men­tal im­pact can be quite large.. By fol­low­ing  sus­tain­able prac­tices, there can be more eco-ef­fi­cient ac­tions and less neg­a­tive im­pacts for the en­vi­ron­ment.

The com­mon in­ten­tion is learn­ing to no­tice the main neg­a­tive af­fects im­me­di­ately in or­der to gain the max­i­mum sus­tain­able ben­e­fit of all the re­sources. Eco-ef­fi­ciency, as well as the mod­er­a­tion is some­thing that ev­ery­one can con­trib­ute through their choices of con­sump­tion. Our choices are sound tran­si­tion to a  more sus­tain­able way of life.

Changes in your con­sump­tion pat­terns does not mean a re­turn to the time be­fore the in­ven­tion of the elec­tric light bulb.  On the con­trary, it may be a change to­wards a new & in­no­va­tive kind of well-be­ing and find­ing even bet­ter qual­ity of life. Just a few small acts of be­hav­ior may achieve an­nual big en­vi­ron­men­tal sav­ings!

The loss of bio­di­ver­sity weak­ens ecosys­tems , which is also a threat to hu­man ex­is­tence. Peo­ple will ben­e­fit from the ser­vices pro­vided by healthy ecosys­tems in many ways!
