These onions are a fa­vorite for the sum­mer veg­etable gar­den, and the young fresh onions are sweet and mild. They make a de­light­ful gar­nish. Onions are ac­tu­ally peren­ni­als, and if not har­vested when young, they will quickly toughen up be­com­ing large and no longer suit­able for a gar­nish.
